Double model sculpture |
Double model sculpture with a male and female bust.
The sculpture model whose upper corners of the plate maintain the original thickness of the limestone with didactic purpose and on the figure one can see the red perimeter and central lines that represent the guide in respect to the proportions. The elegant and rounded shaping gives it a late date, probably Ptolemaic; the male figure is characterized by the elaborate wig that looks like a real exercise of sculptural virtuosity, with the interior black holes of the curls and the folds on the neck. On the back of the table a female bust whose surface seems unfinished; there are visible traces of the chisel. The figure is characterized by the headdress of vulture skin that usually indicates a queen.
