Archeological Object
Model of sculpture |
Model of sculpture with the head of the king wearing the kheperesh.
The sculpture model whose corners of the plate maintain the original thickness of the limestone with didactic purpose and on the figure one can see the lines of a small black square of 4 cm that represents the guide in respect to the proportions. The elegant and rounded shaping gives it a late date, probably Ptolemaic; the shape is a face of a king wearing the kheperesh crown, the distinguishing war helmet of a pharaoh. On the back of the table there is a sketch of a male head and various tests of engraving made with different instruments.
