Ushabti of Tja-Hor-pa-ta |
Ushabti figurines or "meeting" under Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead, which refers to the ability of these figurines come alive and respond to the deceased that evoked to help him in the strenuous activities that require work in the fields in the afterlife. Here the formula is abbreviated to a single column framed and reads simply "shines Osiris Tja-Hor-pa-ta, director of agricultural development", a title typical of the Late period and studied by Yoyotte.
Of this character the Cairo Museum preserves the sarcophagus GS inv.29306, on it is stated that Tha-hor-ta-pa died in the fifteenth year of the reign of Nectanebo I (365 BC).
Other ushabti from his tomb are reported by Aubert; there are two types: small double vertical inscription as which ones to Brussels and Lyon with the sixth largest chapter of the Book of the Dead, as the one preserved in the collection in Geneva and Milan.
