Statue of Khentikheti
The statue depicts a male figure seated on a throne; he wears an elaborate wig that leaves his ears uncovered and reaches to his shoulders and he wears a cloak that envelops his whole body down to the ankles.
The front of the cloak is decorated with two columns of hieroglyphs, placed at the height of the thighs:
"1 - The chancellor of the king of Lower Egypt, the only friend
2 - the great steward Khentikheti ".
The seat also has an inscription. The right side is decorated with six horizontal lines of hieroglyphs, which read:
"1 - the nobleman, the governor, the sem-priest, controller of the entire wardrobe
2 – only and great of the offering hall
3-only and great of the shenepetu,
4-the great of five in the hall of Thoth, the servant of the throne
5-great benefactor of the king's house
6 - only friend, the beloved, the great steward Khentikheti ".
The inscription on the left side of the seat shows instead the following text:
"1 - the noble, the governor, the sma-priest of Horus, the sma-priest of Min
2-the great of the sighted, the father of the god, the embalmer of Anubis in the chapel
3-master of the black pottery in the sanctuary
4-master of the secrets of the single hieroglyphs
5-one without equal
6-only friend, the great steward Khentikheti ".
