Head of a sovereign
The king is potrayed with the hedjet - crown and with the uraeus on his forehead. The sculptural work is of refined execution and with attention to detail, especially in the rendering of the features: the almond shaped eyes slightly raised towards the temples, his slightly arched lips giving a smiling expression to his face and a straight and smooth nose.
Some comparisons (BM61 British Museum statue and sculptures of the Museum of Luxor J.31 and J.52), referring to Amenhotep II, allows the attribution of the sculpture to this king.
