Ushabti of Takhaawy (no cat. 322)

Ushabti of Takhaawy

The funerary statuette is represented with a plain tripartite wig and a long and braided ritual beard, that goes from the chin down to the chest. The back pillar ends at the edge of the wig. The hands that wield the agricultural tools come out from the bandage. The poor quality of execution and the lack of attention to details suggest a dating of the Late Period. In the front there is a column of hieroglyphs: "The Osiris Takhaawy, daughter of Nefer[... ..] "
The Barracco Collection has another ushabti belonged to the same funerary equipment. (ushabty cat. no. 302).
