Vase
Vessel with ellipsoidal body, everted rim with flat lip and flat bottom. On the shoulder are posted two horizontal tubular handles. The body of the vase is completely covered with dark red painted decorations that create a complex composition. At the top are undulating lines on the handles and center the picture of a boat: hull is made of two parallel lines and curves slightly and there are two cabins; the boat has oars made with short vertical lines, parallel to each other. In the lower register, under the boat, is represented an object consisting of a vertical element supporting a quadrangular object with concave sides, probably a representation of a banner from a pole on which was stretched a animal skin. These banners were probably the emblems of the different communities in prehistoric times on Egyptian territory. Also at the bottom decoration is completed by vegetal elements: on the left end to recognize a stylized branch which curves inward and under the loops are represented an aloes and another stylized tree.
