Fragmentary statue of the goddess Uaget
Fragment of a statue of the goddess Uaget, of which remains only the lower part up to the knees. The identification with the deity is possible thanks to inscriptions on the base and on the back pillar.
The inscriptions on the base are arranged in a balanced manner in the spaces between the feet of the goddess; on the right side, under the hieroglyph pt, are engraved the cartouches of Ramesses II:
"Lord of the Two Lands (User-Maat-Ra)"
"Lord of the apparitions (Ramesses beloved of Amun)"
In the other column of text on the left one reads: "Beloved by Uaget, lady of the Two Lands"
On the back pillar there is the same inscription, of which only the end remains (Beloved by Uaget, lady of the Two Lands) but the part with the cartouches of the king is lost.
The goddess was depicted with the left leg forward in the act of advancing and was dressed in a tunic that covered the legs until the ankle.
