Canopic jar of Kheper

Canopic jar of Kheper

The lid shaped like a baboon, the hypostasis animal of Hapi , is not relevant and can be dated to the Late Period, as the perfunctorily execution of the details of the animal's face show.
The vase has high and decided shoulders and is characterized by the straight line of the sides;  there is no trace of the contents.
On the front of the jar an inscription is engraved and arranged in three columns, divided by engraved lines:
1."Words said by Isis: stretch your arms around what is in you. Protect Qebehsenuf
2. What is in you. Be honored near Qebehsenuf the Osiris, the justified priest Kheper,
3. Beside the perfect god, son of the vizier, overseer of the city Tuthmosis justified, lord of privilege. "
Probably the jar preserved the intestines and the original stopper was in form of a falcon, in connection with Qebehsenuf, the protector genius  mentioned in the inscription.
